PTA & NTISB Sign MoU to Enhance Collaboration in Cybersecurity

Islamabad (17 March 2023): Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and National Telecommunication & Information Technology Security Board (NTISB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at PTA Headquarters Islamabad, today.

The collaboration between PTA and NTISB represents a strategic partnership that seeks to strengthen cooperation between the two organizations and contribute towards addressing the emerging challenges in the areas of cyber and information security.

The MoU was signed by Director General (Strategy & Development) PTA, Ch. Mudassar Naveed and Secretary NTISB, Brig. M. Mansoor Saghal. The areas of collaboration between PTA and NTISB include establishing a coordination mechanism enabling smooth working relations, especially in the vigilance area of telecom & IT security related to the National Computer Emergency Response Team (nCERT), protection measures of data in the increasing trends towards digitalization, convergence and adoption of new ICT technologies like e-Governance initiatives, and realization of Digital Society to contribute towards Government of Pakistan’s “Vision 2025".

As part of the collaboration, PTA and NTISB will also engage in capacity building activities. This includes sharing experience and knowledge, conducting sessions, discussion forums, and trainings on relevant issues and technological advancements.

The collaboration between the two organizations will further strengthen efforts towards creating a safe and secure digital Pakistan.
