Islamabad (8th December 2023): Chairman & founder of Akhuwat, Dr. Amjad Saqib, visited the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) headquarters in Islamabad, today. Additionally, he serves as the Chairperson of the Benazir Income Support Program.

He received a warm welcome from Chairman PTA, Major General (R) Hafeez Ur Rehman, who expressed appreciation for the nonprofit organization's noteworthy contributions. The Chairman underscored the pivotal role of such organizations in fostering social welfare that in turn drives economic development.

Following the welcome, Member (Finance) of PTA, Mr. Muhammad Naveed, shared his insights on the significance of social responsibility and the need for collective efforts to help the disadvantaged segments of the society.

Dr. Amjab Saqib shared Akhuwat’s commitment to support the underprivileged through interest-free microfinance and various social welfare programs. He emphasized the importance of partnerships to amplify the impact of Akhuwat's initiatives.

The discussions that ensued during the event opened avenues for potential collaborations between Akhuwat and PTA, with the shared goal of contributing to the welfare of the Pakistani people. In 2022, PTA employees proactively contributed to aid flood affectees in Sindh with the support and efforts of welfare organizations, including Akhuwat.
