Analysis of Consumer Complaints against CMOs
Every month, PTA publishes a detailed analysis of consumer complaints lodged against CMOs through its Complaint Management System (CMS). The purpose of these reports is to ensure transparency and provide stakeholders with meaningful insights into the issues being faced by telecom consumers across Pakistan.
The data is presented in graphical format and highlights multiple aspects of consumer grievances. It includes a city-wise and area-wise distribution of complaints, allowing the identification of regions where consumers report more issues. Complaints are also categorized by nature, such as billing issues (Overcharging/Tariff Discrepancies), network coverage, dropped calls, customer service, and SIM-related matters, to provide a clear understanding of the challenges faced by users.
In addition, the reports cover Quality of Service (QoS) Issues, focusing on Poor Network, Noise, Call Drops. This enables an objective assessment of service delivery standards. Operator-wise comparisons are also provided, offering a transparent view of how each CMO is performing relative to others in handling consumer concerns.
Overall, these monthly analyses serve as a key monitoring tool for performance evaluation, help identify priority areas for improvement, and promote accountability among service providers. They also empower consumers by giving them access to reliable information about the quality of telecom services in their respective areas.
