(Islamabad: 5^th February, 2020): In its continuous efforts to curtail grey telephone trafficking, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) in coordination with Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), carried out a successful raid in Karachi.

The raid was conducted at Zainab Plaza Gulshan e Iqbal, Block 17, Karachi.  During the raid 2 illegal GSM gateways (64 and 8 ports), 12 Internet Modems, 2 Laptops, 4 Wireless Routers, 2 Mobile Handsets, 1 UPS , 2 gateways and Internet devices alongwith other equipment were recovered. Further investigations are underway.

The ongoing successful raids against grey operators are evidence to PTA’s continuous monitoring, commitment and persistent efforts in curtailing grey traffic.
