PTA is already reconciling International telephony traffic between all the relevant licensees within Pakistan. During this process notable timing/date discrepancies have been observed due to non-synchronized clocks and date/ time stamps in the CDRs/ IPDRs which make the process of reconciliation as well as billing difficult and cumbersome.

 

To pursue its aim of provisioning high quality telecom services to public, PTA plans to synchronize the telecom licensee's network. In this regard, PTA has prepared draft regulations "Clock Synchronization Regulations 2010".You are requested to provide your comments and/or suggestions by 31^st July 2010..
