Parental Guidebook Launch Event

Event - “Parental Guide: Safeguarding your Child in the Digital Age-Guide for Caregivers & Policy Brief on Child Online Protection” – 20th Feb 2024

COP Committee in collaboration with UNICEF and Telenor organized an event showcasing the work done in the field of Child Online Protection. The event was attended by esteemed guests including the Caretaker Minister for IT & Telecom, Dr. Umar Saif, and representatives from MoIT&T, PTA, Telenor, NCRC, and UNICEF Pakistan, highlighted the critical need to safeguard children online. The event included Panel Discussion on the topic of “Safely Navigating the Digital Age” connected with quizzed based interactive activity through mentimeter for student and caregivers to judge their level of understanding about online safety issues and related measurers.

Launch of Parental Guidebook "Safeguarding your Child in the Digital Age" in collaboration with the National Commission on the Rights of Child (NCRC), UNICEF & Telenor Pakistan. The guide aims to educate parents & caregivers ensuring a secure online environment for children. The guidebook was presented by Chairman PTA to Chief Guest.

The guidebook was also presented by Chairman PTA to Doreen Bogdan-Martin an American diplomat and Engineer, current Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) during Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona.
