Cellular Mobile

Cellular mobile licensing process is initiated in accordance with Policy Directives by GoP, once such a directive is issued, Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) initiates the licensing process. This process includes the preparation of an Information Memorandum, stakeholders consultation, spectrum auction, and subsequent award of licenses. For more details please visit Spectrum Auctions.
Currently, there are four cellular mobile operators in Pakistan: Pakistan Mobile Communication Limited (Jazz), CMPak Limited (Zong), Telenor Pakistan and PTML (Ufone). These operators provide cellular mobile and broadband services across Pakistan.
In Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) and Gilgit-Baltistan (GB), five cellular mobile operators are providing cellular mobile and broadband services. These operators are Special Communication Organization (SCO), Telenor Pakistan, CMPak Ltd (Zong), Pakistan Mobile Communication Limited (Jazz) and PTML (Ufone).
