Today, the Internet – and the digital economy that it powers - is considered the single most important driver of innovation, competitiveness and growth. This has huge potential to transform and empower all types of organizations and all types of business – from start-ups to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to large enterprises and the public sector. Countries around the Asia-Pacific region are building agendas to take full advantage of new digital opportunities.

Pakistan now stands at the cusp of breaking into a digital economy and needs to make informed choices in fostering an environment that can use the Internet and Internet-based technologies to help drive socio-economic opportunities for all. INET Islamabad is aimed to contributing to this process in Pakistan.
