PTA Contributes Rs.200 Million for Prime Minister’s Fund

Islamabad: Chairman Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Dr. Mohammed Yaseen presented cheque of Rs. 201 million (20 Crore 10 Lakh Rupees) to Prime Minister, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani for the “Prime Minister’s Special Fund for the Victims of Terrorism”, established for the welfare and rehabilitation of IDPs.

 

The amount included Rs. 200 million contribution by PTA, Rs. 0.558 million of one day salary donated by PTA employees and Rs. 0.516 million donation by Motorola Pakistan. Chairman PTA presented this donation during a meeting with the Prime Minister at the PM’s House.

 

Meanwhile, a delegation of Telecom Industry representing their respective heads in Pakistan called on the Prime Minister.  Minister for Petroleum & Natural Resources, and Privatization, Syed Naveed Qamar and Secretary IT Naguibullah Malik and other senior officials were also present in the meeting.
