In order to ensure provision of high quality telecommunication service to the users in an fair and non-discriminatory manner, the Authority has drafted "Telecom Consumers Protection Regulations, 2008".
The regulations aim to protect consumersâ?? interest and cover issues such as rights of consumers, responsibilities of operators, advertisements, billing, confidentiality of information etc.
Suggestions/comments, preferably through email, from consumer organizations, telecom operators and general public are invited on the draft regulations.
The comments may be sent to this office at your earliest convenience but not later than 4thApril 2008.
